Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language-Hearing and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Kansas. Amy was a teacher in a local school district before joining AdventHealth’s Britain Development team as a teacher in 1999. She became the Director of Britain Development in 2006. Over the years, she has provided leadership for a growing team of therapists and teachers with the goal of providing family-focused developmental services to young children with special needs. Continuing to carry out the vision of Lee Ann Britain has been of utmost importance. In 2020, she became the Director of the B.E. Smith Family Center adding oversight of AdventHealth’s Early Learning program, the largest child care center in the state of Kansas. Amy services as the business liaison for the Project SEARCH program, a job training program for young adults with disabilities which is a partnership between AdventHealth and Shawnee Mission School District. Amy currently serves on the executive board of the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. Amy is a fan of KU basketball and live music and enjoys baking and spending time with her husband, Matt, and daughters Claire and Grace.
