The Overland Park South Rotary Club was chartered in 1989.  Instituted in 2022, The 1989 Award is given to a club member with longevity in the club who has provided outstanding service and leadership to our club through consistent attendance, serving as a board member, giving to the Rotary International and Future of Hope Foundations, and chairing service projects.  This award epitomizes the Rotary motto of Service Above Self.  One or more awards may be presented each year.  Recipients are chosen by past-presidents.
