KC Crew; Building of and Transitioning due to COVID

Katy Wade joins our weekly meeting to share the story of KC Crew.

KC Crew is an adult recreational sports league and special events company in Kansas City that started in 2012. Their sports leagues consist of softball, sand volleyball, kickball, basketball, pickleball and cornhole. They manage large one-day events like Urban Golfing pub crawls, Zombie-themed pub crawls and Grilled Cheese Festivals, as well as virtual events such as bingo, trivia,  murder mystery parties and more!

Katy Wade is a former X-Ray tech, turned Event Expert for KC Crew, a sports league and event company in Kansas City. Katy started full-time in 2016, but helped plan events and manage leagues since the start of the business in 2012. She has successfully planned, managed and executed over 100 in-person events and most recently over 300 virtual events. Events that Katy has managed include several 1,000+ attendee in-person events, such as KC Crew’s Downtown Open, End of the World Pub Crawl and Grilled Cheese Festival; and virtual events like Bingo, Trivia, Murder Mystery Parties, Beer and Whiskey Tastings and more!
