Transforming Lives

Courtney is a lover of our hometown Kansas City! As President + CEO of Newhouse, Kansas City’s first nonprofit domestic violence shelter, Courtney and her team provide life-saving and transformative services to those fleeing abusive homes. With 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experiencing some form of domestic violence in their lifetime, Courtney’s work creates a literal lifeline to those most vulnerable in our community. Courtney is a strategically wired visionary, public speaker, and people motivator. Her entrepreneurial approach and leveraging innovation to grow both business and people, have been the key ingredients to her successful career in business turnarounds for Central Exchange, Great Plains SPCA, and Wayside Waifs. Courtney has transformed the customer + staff experience, delivered award-winning marketing campaigns, and has unlocked new revenue opportunities for four leading non-profits in Kansas City, while also being a wife, the mom of three children, a lover of dogs and horses, and a hobby photographer. Believing a life of service is her true calling, Courtney also serves on the board of directors for the Big Shifts Foundation, InnovateHER KC, First Interstate Bank, and the Global Diversity and Inclusion Council for the YMCA.
