Update from the JOCO Appraiser

David “Beau” Boisvert is the Johnson County Appraiser. He was hired on November 14, 2019, to replace Mr. Paul Welcome who had held the position for 18 years. Prior to accepting this position, Beau came with 24 years of experience in the property assessment community in the State of Arizona. His most recent position was the Chief Deputy for Yavapai County. Beau began his appraisal career with Yavapai County in 1995, as a clerk and was promoted to an Appraiser, then Office Manager and Land Supervisor. He left the Yavapai County Assessor office in 2005 after accepting a position as the Land Manager for Maricopa County, Arizona. The Phoenix Metropolitan Area is in Maricopa. Beau worked his way up to the Chief Appraiser position, which he held for 4 years prior to resigning in June 2016.

Beau also has provided assessment consultation for several assessment jurisdictions in recent years. His last consulting was with the City of Detroit, where he assisted the assessment office in revaluing the Downtown and Mid-town commercial areas
